Peter Kent came up with the idea for the first SEO
for Dummies book and published the first version in 2003, and has been updating it almost every year since. Peter has been involved with computer technology since the 70s, including software development, and the Internet. He has likely written more actual books about the Internet than any other author, and he has a wealth of experience in nearly every aspect of online business, including PPC, eCommerce, SEO to social media marketing. Peter has also been an expert witness providing eCommerce and litigation services for companies such as Facebook, Amazon, Hotels.com, Mastercard, Orbits, and many others. In this session, Peter will be discussing the convergence of SEO with marketing as a whole. Historically, SEO has often seemed out of alignment with good marketing practices. As the search engines have gotten better, spammy, cheap links and website content that exists for SEO purposes alone is moving by the wayside. Nowadays, sound marketing principles are having a larger impact on your SEO than ever before. You can learn more about Peter Kent at his website: Peter Kent Consulting
As always, we will provide beer, wine and snacks – and UBER is located at Industry, so please be responsible about getting home safely! See you July 14th!
